Mmm, nothing like that harsh, chemical smell after you've cleaned your house, am I right?
Of course, I'm kidding. But I grew up using those harsh, chemical cleaners - you know the ones where you just have to stay out of the room for a while after you've finished cleaning - lovely, right? And I didn't even know that natural cleaning solutions were an option. That is, until I got a little older, and a little more conscious and aware of what kinds of products I'm buying and using.
Now, I want to keep those unnecessary chemicals and toxins out of my space and out of my life as much as possible, and I try to opt for all-natural cleaning products that are better for me, and better for the environment!
Did you know that you can make a safe, effective, and non-toxic all-purpose cleaner from just a few ingredients that you probably already have at home? You don't have to be a savvy DIY-er to make this happen, either!
Here is a super simple recipe from our friend Jenny over at @indiglowoils. You can throw it together in literally one minute, and it will leave your house smelling amazing, with no chemical after-scent. ;)
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup of white vinegar
- 1 3/4 cup water
- 10 drops each of eucalyptus, peppermint, and wild orange essential oils
Just add all of these ingredients to your 16oz reusable spray bottle, and you're set!
